The Highland Council has reportedly approved expansion plans for a factory in Inverness.
It is understood Norbord is behind the proposals for the site in Dalcross, just off the A96 and would see a new mill and biomass heat plant constructed.
The factory, which produces wood panels, could see its annual production more than double as a result of the expansion, increasing from 350,000 cubic metres to 750,000 cubic metres.
Currently, the plans are at the design stage and council planning officers recommended the scheme be approved with conditions. These conditions relate to complying with building regulations.
Earlier this week, the Highland Council's south planning applications committee approved the plans.
