A decision on whether a primary school in the Highlands should be replaced, has been deferred.
It had been proposed that Strontian Primary School would be replaced with units at a different site nearby. The units have been proposed for a site near Ardnamurchan High School.
According to reports, Highland Council officers had recommended that Councillors should agree to plans that the school be accommodated in the new units. If approved, the scheme would cost around £1.16m.
However, the primary school's parents' council has now asked for a deferral to allow other options to be explored.
