Proposed Archive Centre For Wick

A new archive centre could be constructed at Wick, it has been reported.

It is understood the Nuclear Decommissioning Authority (NDA) has published its plans for the facility. The centre would store information and records related to the Dounreay power plant.

Dounreay is currently being decommissioned.

The local authority, the Highland Council, has been notified by the NDA of its plans to build the archive centre on a brownfield site, close to Wick Airport Industrial Estate.

The Council will be asked to note the proposals next week.
