An ice rink in Stirling, that was forced to temporarily close as repair works were carried out, is due to reopen this weekend.
The facility, located at The PEAK at Stirling Sports Village, was closed under advice from structural engineers in October.
At the time, Stirling Council said the decision was made after minor cracks appeared in the ice rink wall had appeared. An investigation found that there was a structural weakness in the block work. The rest of the facility remained open as the upgrade work was carried out.
In an updated statement from the local authority, it confirmed contractors were working on the walls of the ice rink this week, with work due to finish today (5 November). It added that it plans to reopen the centre on Saturday (8 November).
