A proposal to extend a wind farm in Peeblesshire is being recommended for approval, it is understood.
Members of the Scottish Borders Council's (SBC) planning committee are to discuss the plans for the site.
According to reports, Infinis, the operator behind the development, wants to construct a further six turbines at Glenkerie, near Tweedsmuir. A total of 11 turbines, approved in 2008, are already on the site.
Opposition to the plans have been voiced, but planning officials have been advised that the development extension should be granted permission. If it is approved, it will be subject to a number of conditions, including environmental and construction issues.
