A church which has been undergoing a number of construction works has caught fire.
At around 8.45pm on Monday (20 October), fire crews were called to St Clements Church in St Olaf Street, Lerwick. The two-storey building is said to have been left badly damaged by the blaze.
In a statement, the Scottish Fire and Rescue Service (SFRS) said "serious damage" was caused to the extension of the building. The fire was located on the ground floor of the property.
An investigation by the SFRS and Police Scotland is now underway as to the cause of the fire.
