The successful bidders to construct a new sewer tunnel in Glasgow, have been announced.
According to Construction Enquirer, it will be a joint venture between Vinci Construction Grand Projects and Costain. They will work together on the Shieldhall tunnel in Glasgow city, it is understood.
The structure is the largest wastewater storage tunnel in Scotland. It is designed to improve water quality and help assist with the risk of flooding in the city, as well as pollution of the River Clyde.
Work on the project is expected to start this month, with a scheduled completion date of early 2018.
