A £25,000 to refurbish the Kilsyth Swimming Pool complex has been completed.

The centre now features a new steam room, sauna cabins, shower area and heated loungers. In addition, the leisure pool has also been transformed, with the removal of the island to create more space for swimming lessons. The filters in the plant room have also been refurbished to maintain a high water quality.


Welcoming the improvements, Blane Dodds, Chief Executive of North Lanarkshire Leisure, said: "The old health suite was nowhere near the standard of quality our customers expect nor did it match the high standards we want to provide for them. That's why we've invested in an entirely new health suite, which looks terrific."

George Jack, Manager of the Kilsyth Pool, added: "The improvements have made a big difference; we've removed the old spa pool and spa balance tank. There are new showers, a new steam room and a new sauna. We've created more space and improved access for disabled people."
