Dumbarton Football Club has said it is continuing to develop plans to move to a new stadium.
In a statement, the club confirmed it would submit a planning application to West Dunbartonshire Council in January 2015, but added that consultations with the community would be carried out first.
The proposals request a relocation of Dumbarton FC from their existing site at Castle Road, to a new location at Young's Farm, which is west of Dumbarton.
Plans for the new stadium include:
• A 4,000-capacity football stadium comprising 3,000 seats and 1,000 terracing that can be delivered in separate phases
• Related hospitality accommodation and complementary non-football related uses; such as gym/leisure facilities, hotel, conferencing facilities, restaurant, shop and offices
• Dedicated training facilities and additional playing pitches for community use
• Car and coach parking.
A spokesperson for Dumbarton FC said: "The Club has been looking for a new site for a stadium for over five years and we are excited to now progress plans for a new sporting facility that can put DFC at the heart of the local community.
"Consultations have been had with our Supporters Trust, and our forthcoming public exhibition will allow supporters and local residents to view and comment on our proposals."
A public exhibition will be held at Dumbarton Football Club on 6 and 7 November to allow the local community to view the proposals. Further details will be released nearer the time.
