Plans to build a wind farm, around five miles south west of Ben Wyvis, has been rejected by the Highland Council.
The development, proposed by PI Renewables, would have consisted of 14 turbines located on the slopes of Carn Gorm.
The developer said the scheme would contribute to the environmental and economic sustainability of the Highlands, but the Council said the development would have a detrimental impact on the local landscape.
PI Renewables can appeal against the decision to the Scottish Government.
