Construction work has started on a new park-and-ride facility in Wishaw.
The 40-space car park will be located at Belhaven Road.
Under the project works, the site will be landscaped, while lighting and CCTV will be installed.
RJ McLeod is carrying out the work on behalf of North Lanarkshire Council at a cost of £184,000.
Graham MacKay, Head of Roads and Transportation, commented: "This new park and ride facility is part of the council's improvement plans for Wishaw, improving access to public transport and the town centre.
"It is designed to encourage commuters to use the train, and will free up other town centre car parks for shoppers and visitors."
The facility is due to be open for use in October.
