Another phase of the Dundee Waterfront project has now been completed, the Council has announced.
The finished section is part of the city's new £11m grid pattern of streets at the central waterfront location. In a statement, the local authority said the central section of the Northern Boulevard has now been completed and will open to eastbound traffic via a short link road at the existing traffic signal controlled junction. All eastbound traffic will use the new section of carriageway.
The section will open to motorists from Sunday (31 August).
By opening the section of the eastbound carriageway, this will allow contractors, Sir Robert McAlpine, to focus on other areas of the Waterfront, such as the new public open space and adjacent side roads. It is expected that the current phase of works will be completed by the end of 2015.
