New Store For Bearsden Announced

Planning permission has been approved for a new convenience store in Bearsden.

The store will be located on the Milnagavie Road, on the site of the former Kessington Service Station.

East Dunbartonshire Council has said the existing building will be demolished to make way for the new 400 sq feet single-storey shop, and associated parking.

Killermont Development is behind the plans.

Welcoming the investment, Councillor Billy Hendry, Chair of the Council's Planning Board, said: "This site has been an eyesore for many years now and we're glad there's now interest in it to bring a new convenience store to the area."
