Extension For Wind Farm Proposed

A planning application has been submitted to increase the size of a wind farm located between the Scottish Borders and East Lothian, it has been reported.

The proposals, which have been put forward to the Scottish Government, are in relation to the Crystal Rig wind farm in the Lammermuir Hills.

Currently, the development includes 85 operating turbines, but the new application, if approved, would see an additional 26 turbines erected on the site.

Fred.Olsen Renewables submitted the plans.

A final decision on the wind farm rests with the Scottish Government.
