Work has been completed on two new homes in Bonawe by Argyll Community Housing Association (ACHA).
The two-bedroom family homes were funded by a grant and loan facility by the local authority's Strategic Housing Fund. The Council has a specific grant facility for rural housing development.
Stewart McNee Limited of Dunoon was appointed to carry out the construction work, which took seven months to complete, at a cost of £279,000. The two properties will be available for rent.
Commenting on the project, Alastair MacGregor, ACHA Chief Executive, said: "We are delighted to be able to provide two new family homes for rent in Bonawe. Two homes in a small community are as valuable as 40 in a town."
