Barratt Homes has said it will continue with plans to construct up to 400 new homes in east Scotland.
According to reports, the house builder is set to construct 139 homes at Duddingston Park South in Duddingston, and a further 165 at Newcraighall Village. An additional 102 affordable properties would also be constructed between the two developments.
Anne Ross, sales director at Barratt Homes for the East of Scotland, is quoted as saying: "2014 has been a buoyant year for new homes sales and we are pleased to be launching these two new developments in the Edinburgh area, to allow us to keep up with demand.
"With a wide selection of modern homes on offer and in sought-after locations, we hope these developments will be extremely popular."
