One of the main entrances to Stonehaven is to close next week to allow road maintenance to be carried out, Aberdeenshire Council has said.
The U90K Den of Logie Road, which is the first entrance to the town from the north, is to be resurfaced and re-lined. The route brings traffic down from the A90 southbound to enter the town near its open air swimming pool.
The scheme will commence on Monday 23 June until Thursday 26 June.
The local authority has said a diversion route will be in place for motorists.
Philip McKay, Head of Roads and Landscape Services at Aberdeenshire Council, said: "This is a well used road, not least by local residents, and although the closure may be inconvenient, it is necessary given the work to be done.
"As anyone who uses it regularly will know, the road surface has become worn and requires to be replaced and re-lined.
"This work will make a big difference to the road, improving visitors' first impressions of the approach to the town and we hope the results will be appreciated."
