Consultation Commences For New Tain School

A consultation to find a suitable site for a new school campus in Tain has been launched.

The proposed facility, which will cater for pupils aged three to 18, will replace the existing Craighill and Knockbreck Primary Schools, St Duthus Special School and the Tain Royal Academy.

Currently, there are three sites under consideration for the campus.

These are the existing Tain Royal Academy site, the existing Craighill Primary School site and a site at Kirksheaf.

A public consultation is now to be held with those affected by the amalgamation of the schools. It will run until 4 July 2014. There will also be a public drop-in session at Tain Parish Church Hall in Queens Street on Monday 30 June from 10am until 8pm.
