Subsea 7 has been awarded a £270m contract to construct a 37-mile pipeline and its associated facilities.
The North Sea oil and gas services company said the work will involve its sites in Aberdeen, Leith and Wick. It is understood the engineering and project management elements of the multi-million pound project will take place at the firm's Aberdeen office, with fabrication being carried out at the Wick and Leith facilities.
The pipeline will be for Premier Oil UK's Catcher field development, located east of Aberdeen.
Work by Subsea 7 will commence on the contract in 2015.
