The Planning Committee from Orkney Islands Council (OIC) is to meet next month in relation to a planning application for a wind turbine.
The Committee will meet on Monday 2 June where Councillors will conduct a visit to Burness to the site where the wind turbine has been proposed. They will then consider the application at a following meeting.
The OIC has said members of the public are welcome to attend this meeting, which will be held in the Community Room at Pierowall Junior High School, Westray, on 2 June at 2.15pm.
Councillor Rob Crichton, Chair of the Planning Committee, said: "The Committee's visit to Westray will enable Councillors to make a determination with a site visit very fresh in their minds.
"There was a good turnout at the Committee's last visit to Westray in November 2012, and we hope local folk will again come along to watch proceedings."
