Revised plans to construct a major housing development in Nairn have been recommended for approval by the Highland Council.
It is understood that Springfield Properties has submitted proposals to build 178 homes at the town's Lochloy some of which will be on land previously earmarked for a new primary school.
According to the BBC, council officers have said there is no longer a need for land to be allocated for a school.
Councillors will be asked to approve the revised masterplan at a meeting tomorrow (20 May).
