Angus Council has said it is looking to hear from the local community on a document which outlines significant planning issues for the area over the next two decades.
The TAYplan Main Issues Report (MIR) provides an opportunity to inform and shape the strategy and content of the development plan. It also aims to promote discussion about how the area should be developed over the next 20 years, and look at where new jobs, houses and green networks should be located, as well as how to deal with climate change.
The documents can be viewed here. The deadline for comments is 12pm on 27 June 2014.
Community drop-in events have also been organised, and ran in partnership with Planning Aid for Scotland, they will be held at:
• Webster Theatre, Assembly Hall in Arbroath – Thursday 1 May, from 3pm to 7pm
• Reid Hall, Main Hall in Forfar – Saturday 24 May from 11.30am to 4.30pm.
