Fife Council is to hold a public drop-in session this week in relation to the Dunfermline Flood Prevention Scheme.
This will be the ninth consultation session which allows residents an opportunity to discuss the plans with council officers and site staff.
In addition, the Council added that it was in the process of re-tendering the project.
Five contractors have been selected for the process and tender documents for pricing were issued last week.
Works are expected to begin in early summer, it is understood, with a scheduled completion date given of autumn 2014.
This week's drop-in session will be held at the Dell Farquharson Centre on Wednesday 16 April from 3.30pm to 6.30pm.
