O-I Plant Opens In Clackmannanshire

Clackmannanshire Council Leader, Councillor Gary Womersley, has welcomed the news that the O-I plant in Alloa has opened following an upgrade.

In a statement, Councillor Womersley said: "I am delighted to attend the opening of the plant following the completion of the £29m upgrade.

"The Council has been working with O-I for a considerable time to help to ensure the plant's future in Alloa, and we were very pleased to have helped bring together the successful funding from Scottish Enterprise.

"As the largest private sector employer in the area, we have been committed to providing any assistance we can to help safeguard these important local jobs."
