Aberdeenshire Council has said it is to carry out a number of surface dressing works on Buchan's roads.

The programme of works will commence on Monday 5 May and will last until 11 July.

The affected roads will be in the Hatton, New Deer and Peterhead areas and a series of short closures will be in place. Pedestrian access will be maintained, the local authority has said.

The following roads being affected by the project include:

• Hatton Farm Gardens from Park View and Road

• Kirkbrae Terrace/Gladstone Terrace in New Deer

• Aalesund Road/Place including Garages in Peterhead

• Mallard Drive, Gaswell Place and Pintail Terrace in Peterhead.
