An agreement has been reached by Councillors in the Scottish Borders, to reject plans for a 24-turbine wind farm.
The Council's decision to oppose the plans are said to be down to visual and amenity impact grounds. Those behind the wind farm, developers Muirhall Energy, have argued that the initiative will help meet renewable energy targets as well as generate significant investment within the local economy.
A final decision on the development, which would be located between Lauder and Stow, will be made by the Scottish Government due to the size of the project.
