Essential resurfacing works are to be carried out on a road in South Lanarkshire.
The B7018 Dillarburn Road links two rural communities in the area and to allow the work to be undertaken, the local authority has said the road will close for up to 17 days.
The closure will be in place from today (24 March) between Kirkfieldbank and Lesmahagow.
A diversion route will be in place for motorists.
Chair of South Lanarkshire Council's Enterprise Services Committee, Councillor Chris Thompson, said: "These works are vital to improving this particular stretch of road.
"We appreciate it may cause inconvenience to road users and can only apologise for that in advance.
"However, we are confident drivers will appreciate the improvements when the works are complete.
"We would also encourage drivers to leave extra time for their journeys and to follow the diversion route."
