A key milestone has been reached on the Forth Bridge project.
The team working on the ambitious £1.4bn project revealed they have now completed the installation of one of the structures' towers.
It is understood it is one of the towers on the southern approach to the Queensferry Crossing which has been completed.
The three main towers on the bridge will, when completed, sit 50 metres higher than the Forth Road Bridge.
Sharing a photo of the milestone on Twitter, the team said: "A small milestone for the new Forth bridge as one of its southern approach towers is completed."
The entire structure is due to be completed by the end of 2016.
