Aberdeen City Council has said a one-way system will be in operation on a section of the Great Northern Road from Sunday 16 February.
The system will be in place for up to a fortnight as essential utilities installation works are carried out.
In a statement, the local authority has said the road will open to northbound traffic only between the Clifton Road and St Marchar Drive junctions during the utilities works for the new Police Scotland custody centre at Kittybrewster.
For southbound, or city bound, traffic, it will be diverted via St Machar Drive and Bedford Road.
The project is expected to be completed by 1 March.
