Perth and Kinross Council has said work to construct a roundabout at the junction of Station Road and Springfield Road, Kinross, is to start later this month.
The project is expected to last around eight weeks.
The works will help with the flow of traffic using the busy junction.
The local authority has said plans of the proposals will be on display for residents' information in the Sainsbury's and Co-op supermarkets in Kinross.
Local member and Enterprise and Infrastructure Vice-Convener, Councillor Joe Giacopazzi, welcomed the project. He said: "Building the roundabout will help keep traffic moving at the busy junction in Kinross. This will benefit residents, commuters and delivery vehicles alike in the town and I look forward to its completion in the near future."
