Aberdeen City Council's Local Development Plan (LDP) is to continue its consultation roadshow this week.

The local authority is wanting to hear from residents about their views on the future development of the city for a Main Issues Report. This report is a vital part of the wider Aberdeen Local Development Plan which outlines the future needs of the city and how these can be met.

The draft Main Issues Report includes a number of broad themes which emerged during the pre-main issues consultation phase, such as:

• City centre and retailing

• Transport and infrastructure

• Business and industry

• Housing and community

• Design and the built environment

• Natural environment

• Resources.

The brownfield and other proposals which have emerged and which may merit inclusion in the next Aberdeen LDP also include opportunity sites for development (Craiginches Prison), an expansion at Aberdeen Harbour and the Ness Solar Farm.

The consultations will be held at:

• Altens Community Centre – Wednesday 5 February, 3pm to 7pm

• Cults Sports Centre – Thursday 6 February, 3pm to 8pm

• Northfield Library – Monday 10 February, 3pm to 7pm.
