Scottish Water is to hold an information evening prior to staring work on improving its water infrastructure in Wishaw.
In certain areas of the town, work will be carried out to replace around 35km of old water mains with new plastic pipes which will help provide clearer, fresher drinking water for customers, as well as reduce the risk of pipes bursting.
The company is now encouraging locals to find out more about the programme of works at a drop-in session which will be held later this month. It will also allow them the opportunity to raise questions about the scheme.
Bill Elliot, Community Team Manager for Lanarkshire, said: "Scottish Water is investing in improvements to services to maintain the highest possible standard of drinking water for our customers. This work in Wishaw will breathe new life into our network of pipes of the town, helping to deliver the freshest, clearest drinking water to local homes and businesses."
The information evening will be held at Wishaw Old Parish Church on Thursday 30 January, from 4pm to 7pm.
