A football club in the Scottish Borders is benefitting firm improved facilities.
The work was carried out from Unpaid Work by offenders, which is one of the options courts can impose as part of a Community Payback Order (CPO).
As part of the project at Selkirk Football Club, workers created new terracing for supporters by laying 130 tonnes of gravel to level the car park; constructed fencing around the club's second team pitch, and improved the general look of the facility. They will also help build pathways at Yarrow Park to allow disabled spectators access to all areas in the ground.
Selkirk FC Vice-Chairman Ross Anderson said: "We would not have been able to pay for all the work undertaken were it not for the scheme.
"The fencing will allow us to achieve our aim of entering a second team in the East of Scotland League, and I would definitely recommend other organisations applying for help."
