Community Centre To Be Demolished

A former community centre in Tillicoultry, Clackmannanshire, is to be demolished.

The local authority confirmed work on demolishing the building will begin this month. It will involve stripping the building, which will then be followed by a controlled demolition. The site will then be cleared of the material and debris.

In a statement, Clackmannanshire Council said the demolition is expected to take around eight to 10 weeks to complete.

The building has been closed since November 2012 when a new facility, the Ben Cleuch Centre, opened for the local community.
