Perth and Kinross Council has said a number of improvement works are to be carried out at AK Bell Library in the new year.
The upgrades come as part of the Council's ongoing work to improve the quality of experience for its library visitors.
From 18 January to 3 March 2014, the Local Studies and Reference departments on the first floor of the facility will close to the public. This will allow the local authority to undertake a number of key improvements, such as the replacement of flooring, a reorganisation of the departments and improved access to the collections.
Throughout the works, the Perth and Kinross Council has said the Council Archive will remain open as normal, with alternative arrangements in place for customer access, while the ground floor Lending Library, the Learning Curve, and the café will also be open throughout the planned period of work.
