Angus Council's Vice Convener of Neighbourhood Services, Jeanette Gaul, said: "Investment by the council in the library has resulted in a fresh and modern interior, a more customer-friendly layout and upgraded staff accommodation at Kirriemuir Library.

"Research shows that improvements to library buildings lead to significant increase in use, and we will consider how we can continue to invest in our libraries in the future to encourage local communities to make use of their facilities."
