East Ayrshire School To Be Officially Opened

A new primary school in Kilmarnock is to be officially opened tomorrow (Friday 8 November) by East Ayrshire Council Leader Councillor Douglas Reid.

The £11.5m Willowbank School is a state-of-the-art special school which can accommodate up to 50 pupils. It boasts high-quality modern facilities including a swimming pool, a hi-tech sensory room and a garden.

Guests invited to the ceremony on Friday will be able to receive a guided tour of the new facility.

Councillor Reid said: "I would doubt that any similar established across the country could match what we have provided here in East Ayrshire for a really important group of young people and staff."

The official opening of the school follows its recently awarded Eco Schools Green Flag.
