Scottish Borders Council has said streetscape improvement works in Galashiels will commence today (21 October).
The works will be located in High Street, Galashiels.
The first phase of the project will be adjacent to the Sime Place junction, and will see traffic restricted to one lane.
It is thought the works will take around six weeks to complete and will see improvements made to the road surface, footpaths, parking and loading bays.
The Council has said it will attempt to minimise disruption of the works, which are part of the wider town centre improvements being carried out. The works are part of the final infrastructure improvement scheme of the Galashiels Inner Relief Road - GIRR 4.
