A new community-inspired play area has been opened in Ayr's Lochside neighbourhood, Ayrshire Housing has said.
The project, which has been part funded from the Lottery's Awards for All Scotland, has provided a play area for young children to play creatively.
The idea and design came from workshops organised through the Lochside Neighbourhood Group. The Group brings together community representatives, local Councillors and workers from South Ayrshire Council and Ayrshire Housing.
Councillor Ian Cavana opened the play area and said: "I'm delighted with what the community has achieved working with Ayrshire Housing and my colleagues at the Council. I can see that the weans are delighted too."
The initiative builds on Ayrshire Housing's work over the last eight years in Lochside, in partnership with the South Ayrshire Council.
