The next stage in Dundee's £1bn Waterfront redevelopment could commence shortly.
Next week, a city development committee meeting will be held where Councillors will consider a £1.5m demolition project for the current Dundee Rail Station.
The tender will cover the demolition of the station buildings, life, stairs and bridge structure as part of the next stage of the rail station development.
Councillor Will Dawson, Convener of City Development, said: "Works are already in progress to create a temporary ticket office and entrance to the rail station at the Riverside lay-by.
"This new station entrance is anticipated to be in use from October 24. ScotRail will be publishing notices to advise passengers of this change and will be posting these throughout the station buildings.
"We are witnessing a period of massive change in the Waterfront and approval of this tender would help our ambitious regeneration of the area move forward even further."
