Clackmannanshire Council has said work is to begin on the installation of a new, fully accessible bridge at Gartmorn Dam.
The project is being made possible due to a £10,000 grant from the Council's Community Environmental Improvement Fund to the Clackmannanshire Riders Access Group. Funding was also made available from the Clackmannanshire Community Chest and from the Clackmannanshire Riders Access Group.
Once completed, the new bridge, located at Hardy's Link, will be suitable for pedestrians, horse riders and cyclists.
Work is expected to begin on site on Monday 9 September and will continue until 20 September.
Councillor Donald Balsillie, Enterprise and Environment Convener said: "While the work is ongoing it will not be possible to complete a circular walk around Gartmorn Dam, although all the paths either side of the bridge remain open and we would continue to encourage visitors to enjoy the country park. I ask visitors to the Dam to bear with us while the improvement work at Hardy's Link is carried out."
