Road users are being advised that essential maintenance works are to be carried out to Feshie Bridge from Monday 2 September.
As a result, the Highland Council has said a temporary road closure will be required on a short length of the B970 Kingussie to Speybridge Road, over Feshie Bridge.
The length of road affected will be from the U2094 Achlean Road junction with the B970 road and will extend for 300 metres across the bridge, to the private access road leading to Ord Cottage, Feshie Bridge.
Alternative routes for vehicles will be available using the B970 Kingussie – Speybridge Road (Part), B9152 Kingussie to Granish Road, A86 Kingussie to Kerrow Road and the C1132 Kincraig to Loch Insh Road, although this road has a weight restriction on Kincraig Spey Bridge so it is only suitable for vehicles with a gross weight of less than 17 tonnes.
Diversion routes will be signposted and access for pedestrians and cyclists will be maintained throughout the works.
The closure will be in place until Saturday 21 September 2013.
