Fife Council's Transportation and Environmental Services is to begin work on resurfacing the A912 at Sandygates, Strathmiglo.
The work will begin on Monday 5 August and is expected to take up to three weeks to complete.
The road is being resurfaced from Cash Feus to the A91 junction, and a temporary road closure will be in place for the duration of the works in order to allow the improvements to be carried out safely.
A signed diversion route will be in place along the A91, Melville Lodges roundabout and the A92, while temporary bus stops will also be erected on the A91.
The Council has said parking and access to properties during this closure will be at the contractor's discretion, however access for emergency services will be maintained at all times.
