Resurfacing Work For Gourock

Resurfacing work is to begin on Larkfield Road, Gourock this weekend.

Starting on Sunday 21 July, the works will continue for 10 days.

As a result, Inverclyde Council has said there will be no access from the adjoining roads - Manor Crescent Bay View Road, Reservoir Road, Grenville Road and Garvie Avenie - onto Larkfield Road.

A diversion will be in place from Cardwell Road to Broomberry Drive to Drumshantie Road to George Road to Larkfield Road and vice versa, while vehicles travelling east bound from Gourock wanting to access Larkfield Road should travel on Short Street to John Street to Broomberry Drive to Drumshantie Road to George Road and on to Larkfield Road.

Access will be severely restricted during this period and extra care should be taken by road users when gaining access to premises. In addition, 'No Waiting' cones will be in place by 8am on Sunday 21 July. Any vehicle remaining after this time which is obstructing the works and whose owner cannot be contacted will be removed to safe storage.
