Construction work has started on 40 new affordable homes in Renfrewshire by Sanctuary Scotland Housing Association.
The homes at Braille Crescent, Renfrew, which will consist of either two or three-bedrooms, have a scheduled completion date of July 2014, Scottish Housing News has said.
The £4.8m development will see each of the houses made available to rent.
The project will also include a mix of 35 three-bedroom homes and five two-bedroom units.
A total grant of £1.9m has been donated by the Scottish Government towards the development.
Allocation of the properties are to be split evenly between Sanctuary's and Renfrewshire Council's waiting lists.
