Refurbishment work has been completed on Cupar Local Office.

The restoration means that the office will be able to move back to County Buildings from next week.

The new facilities will provide customers access to a number of services in one place and include a refurbished reception area and waiting room, as well as new meeting and interview rooms.

The reopening of the Local Office is the latest stage in a £3.2m restoration project of County Buildings. The work also includes a refurbishment of office accommodation to provide a modern, more flexible environment that will be able to support a wider range of staff.

Customer Service Team Leader Andrew Stokes said: "We are delighted to be moving back to County Buildings and providing services and advice in the centre of town once again. The office has been designed and equipped to deliver services in the way our customers require, whether it is an enquiry which can be dealt with quickly using out self-service unit, or something more complex where our Advisors can talk to customers in one of our private interview rooms."

The County Buildings refurbishment is part of Fife Council’s Office Rationalisation Programme. It is designed to make better use of office space, resulting in better delivery of services and lower running costs.
