The event, held in the city's Town House, saw 435 attendees receive information on a range of training and apprenticeship opportunities, as well as live construction-related apprenticeship vacancies in disciplines such as joinery, bricklaying, electrical, plumbing, and engineering.

Skills Development Scotland, Construction Skills and Aberdeen College were also on site to provide advice on obtaining apprenticeships.
Organiser Heather Farquhar, Senior Employability, Skills and Community Enterprise Officer said: "We're overwhelmed at the success of the event and will certainly consider repeating it on an annual basis. It was great to see so many people at the start of their career keen to seek an apprenticeship in construction, many of whom were supported by their parents at the event. I just wish we had vacancies for them all.
"The success of this event will lead to Aberdeen City Council offering apprenticeship recruitment events for other sectors, including engineering."
