Barr Construction has created a brand new Tesco Metro store on Glasgow's Sauchiehall Street and the store is now open to the public.

The unit formerly occupied by Littlewoods is now open to the public after an eight week fit out.

The Barr team provided a new sales floor, bakery and customer toilet on the ground floor and new staff offices and toilets on the first floor.


Project manager Alan Wilkinson said: "Barr has a track record of developing stores for the major retail chains and we completed this store to a high spec in a short space of time.

"It was an interesting challenge to keep noise levels down during the Glasgow Film Theatre’s afternoon showings next door but we worked around the restrictions and were able to complete the project successfully."
