BSW Timber Strengthens Purchasing Team

BSW Timber, the UK’s largest sawmilling group, has appointed Gavin Adkins as purchasing director to lead commercial strategy within BSW’s 6-strong purchasing team.

Adkins joins BSW after 10 years as Group Chief Accountant and Timber Procurement Director at Kronospan Ltd. He also brings 10 years’ experience in senior financial roles at Northern Foods, Premier Foods and Greencore. He holds associate membership from the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants.

As purchasing director at BSW Timber, Adkins will oversee the Group’s strategy to ensure successful delivery of timber volumes at a time when BSW's capacity is on the rise. At the core of his strategy will be forging stronger relationships with merchants and private forestry interests.
