Joint agents GVA and Jones Lang LaSalle have let 8,689 sqft of space to leading engineering consultancy WSP at Edinburgh Park in the west of the city.
WSP has signed a 10 year lease on the ground floor of 7 Lochside View, joining existing occupiers JP Morgan, JDSU and Business Stream.
More than 80% of the building has now been let and there is only 10,000 sqft of space available, which can be subdivided to suit specific occupier requirements.
According to GVA’s latest Big Nine report published last month, take-up in the west of Edinburgh has recently increased, while there is still a shortage of Grade A city centre office space.
Toby Withall, National Markets Director for GVA in Edinburgh said: "Due to the lack of Grade A office space in the city centre and its proximity to the city bypass, M8 and outer lying areas of central Scotland, we are confident other occupiers will quickly follow WSP into Edinburgh Park.
"WSP was attracted by the high profile nature of the building, the quality of the immediate environment and its excellent location.
"As demand continues to increase and city centre stock is used up, out-of-town developments such as Edinburgh Park can provide an alternative solution for businesses looking for space."
DTZ acted for WSP during the negotiations.
